Specialized Mountain Bikes
Specialized Bicycle Components are an American manufacturer of helmets, parts and bikes. Founded in 1974 by Mike Sinyard, they went on to produce the world's first mass produced mountain bike - the Stump Jumper in 1981.
Specialized's range of mountain bikes include cheaper models for beginners as well as bikes used by professional mountain bikers. Specialized sponsor one of Britain's top professional mountain bikers Liam Killeen. At the time of writing this Killeen is taking part in the 2008 Beijing Olympic games, where he hopes to achieve one of his career goals - an Olympic medal.
